LATE NITE SHOW: Franz Is Dead (Paris) this Saturday, at Star & Garter...

 We've got a bit of an French aA special show this Saturday night in Manchester, featuring Franz Is Dead (Paris) playing live with DJ support from DJ Bernard (Voxpopmag, Paris).

Franz Is Dead biog....

Laurent Blot AKA Franz Is Dead is a Parisian Multi-Instrumentalist & Producer influenced by Pop Music, Stax Records, Jimi Hendrix & The Flaming Lips, among others. After having been a studio musician for years, he decides to start its own project, playing all instruments and recording demos by himself.

In 2010, he releases a first mini album, “Ah-Leu-Cha” which includes “Really want you”, featured in NBC TV series “Chuck” and Norwegian movie "Fa Meg Pa, For Faen".
Recorded between Stockholm and Paris, "SATAN EP" is released in february 2011.
Both records are available in digital stores (iTunes, Amazon,…)

On stage, friends from other bands join him to form his backing band. Franz is dead since shared stage with The Walkmen, Cults, Portugal The Man, Buck 65, The Rodeo,…

On May 7th 2012, Franz will release a new ep; "Monkey Mask Replica". Colored with kautrock, experimental and pop music, this recorded will be available in vinyl and digital, through parisian label "A quick one records".
