Okay, seeing as it's now officially er, UK summertime here's a bit of an update on which aA acts are playing out & about over the (hopefully) sunshine-filled months to come...
First up, Sounds From The Other City returns to the streets & venues around Salford's Chapel Street on Sunday May 1st. There's loads on & at the top of our list is the Bad Uncle & Here Here show at the United Reformed Church, featuring PLANK! amongst many others. Tickets can be purchased from here.
Next up is the Friends Of Manchester Festival - check out the huge line up here - located at the dead posh Capesthorne Hall venue, just south of Manchester. As well as The Phantom Band, Toro Y Moi, Jim Noir & Mr Scruff there's Beat The Radar, PLANK!, Driver Drive Faster & aA DJs Lego & Will. Weekend tickets from here
In July it's Manchester International Festival time with PLANK! taking part in True Faith: A Celebration of Manchester-made talent, a showcase curated by Everything Everything and Dave Haslam. Also on July 5th, it's Egyptian Hip Hop and XXXY. Heavy line up indeed. 7.30pm start and £5 advance.
Then to Yorkshire for the was-Moorfest, now Greetings From The Beacons Festival on August 12th and 14th with Wolf People, Star Slinger, Phantom Band, Toddla T, Jamie XX alongside Driver Drive Faster, aA DJs and more TBC...
Wales next for the annual Green Man Festival which as usual, has an amazing line up playing against the amazing Breacon Beacon backdrop. Fleet Foxes headline, plus there's Leisure Society, Polar Bear and Driver Drive Faster. Full schedule will be announced soon we guess.
Also, check out The Trip Festival in North Wales on May 27th-29th which our good friends Harvest Sun are curating the bands - Beverley Martin, Lone Pigeon, John Stammers, The Loungs, Ashley Beedle & loads more...
