VOTE NO TO THE MANCHESTER CONGESTION CHARGE

Akoustik Anarkhy would like to draw your attention the ridiculous congestion charging proposals for Manchester. VOTE NO to the proposals!
In short, the congestion charge is ill-conceived, ill-thought out, unfair & effectively being forced on the city area & surrounding metropolitan boroughs.
Many of the congestion bottle necks of Manchester - Upper Chorlton Road / Brooks Bar & Wilmslow Road / Oxford Road to name 2 in the south of the city have been created by road narrowing schemes & bus lanes. These type of schemes are ineffective & do not work.
Postal ballet papers will be issued to all those on the electoral register within the 10 boroughs of the, so called, Greater Manchester area during November. The ballet closes on 11 December. Please ensure you return your ballet paper in good time & VOTE NO.
Take a look at the locations for the inner ring of the congestion charging scheme:
to see how those who live in area's close to Manchester city centre will be penalised for only travelling within their local areas. How can this be fair?
See http://www.stopthecharge.co.uk/index.php for further information on the negative effects of the scheme on our city & you, your friends & family.
REMEMBER: VOTE NO
Thanks
Akoustik Anarkhy
