aA News - Friday 27th July - Autokat Release New Single Innocence & its Steve Lamacqs Single of the week!

Hey we're just about finding our marbles in time for the weekend. Thanks to all who came down & indeed those who tried to get into what was a sold out aA @ The Star & Garter party last Friday 20th July.

We had the return of The Longcut to aA who were class. From the aA Recordings stable Autokat rocked the house as ever & we'd like to say a special thank you to Morton Valence who took over 9 hours to get to Manchester from London. On arrival they promptly got their gear on stage & played fantastic. On the DJ front the aA regulars Soft Priest, Young Will & Lego were joined in the downstairs aA suite by a new trio known as The Bears who added a new flair the proceedings & we hope to have them back very soon.

Autokat's next single 'Innocence / Short Circuit' is available to download now from a variety of digital shops including iTunes & Virgin Digital . The marvellously real 7" Vinyl hits the shops across the UK on Monday 30th July & will be available to order direct from the aA Shop. Short Circuit is the first brand new material to be revealed by the kat since the release of their debut album Late Night Shopping & is a throbbing, building, pulsing number so check it out.
We're very pleased to say that 'Innocence' has been selected as Steve Lamacq's record of the week on his BBC 6 Music show week commencing Monday 30th July so the those who have yet to hear the mighty kat across the country are set to get an earful at least once a day courtesy of Steve should they tune into 6 Music which of course we recommend they do.

Well we must repair to the drawing room & we wish everyone an enjoyable weekend. Things in August are about to get very Ooompa Zoompa as we reveal our latest signing to Akoustik Anarkhy. Watch out!

Cheers for reading
